Men’s Small Group – 7:00am Saturdays

Sean Flynn

I am so excited to lead a small Group knowing it is God who will guide us and fill us with the light of the Holy Spirit! I strive to be a man of courage, to be a disciple,  not to judge, but to love others into the church. See more.

Rob Panko

I have been a member of the parish for about 30 years. For many years I would occasionally go to Mass until a life changing event left me searching. It is my hope that our Small Group will provide you with the opportunity to experience happiness and growth in faith! See more.

This Small Group is perfect for men looking to deepen their faith and connect with others. Sean and Rob lead this group which meets Saturday mornings at 7:00am. They’re excited to take this journey with you! Sign up below, and someone will be in touch with you soon!

Unfortunately this group is full. Please consider signing up for a different Small Group.

One of my joys is attending Catholic men’s conferences across North America. I find them so inspiring and a way to help me grow in my faith and to meet other men with the same passion I have. As Iron sharpens Iron, men sharpen men.

I’m a sports enthusiast – I love watching and talking sports. I think this is the year for the Toronto Maple Leafs! I also enjoy gardening and cooking.

ministry experience:
  • Host Minister and Welcome Desk Minister at 9:00 am Sunday Mass (1 year )
  • Core Group Leader for the Brantford Men’s Group, “Be a Man” (5 years)
  • Core Group Leader for the Canadian Arm of “Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance” (1 year)
  • St Vincent de Paul delivery and pick-up truck driver (7 years)

Rob Panko

Hello, I’m Rob Panko and have been a member of the parish for about 30 years. For many years I would occasionally go to mass until a life changing event left me searching. Searching for a deeper meaning of life and death, a deeper relationship with God the Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. I was and still am looking for answers.

My quest started with prayer and eventually joining Be a Man. Although the membership was large, we worked and grew together in Small Groups. This was where I learned the true meaning of forgiveness. Partial forgiveness such as to forgive the person but not the act is unacceptable. Forgiveness must be absolute; the person and the act must be forgiven. How could you ask Jesus for forgiveness if you won’t forgive? It is a very hard pill to swallow. Yet doing so has proven to be truly uplifting and life changing.

It became the catalyst of my deeper love of Jesus’ word. I became more involved, joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, The Association of Immaculate Heart of Mary Mother of Christ, and have begun to serve in the parish Host and Digital Host ministries.

A desire was built in me to try and live the Gospel every day knowing that I’d fail along the way; yet still, persevering and seeking forgiveness, strength and comfort of the Lord. This started with joining a Small Group, sharing, and trusting in the Lord. It is my hope that our Small Group will provide you with the opportunity to experience such happiness and growth in faith.
