Along with other restrictions to combat the spread of the COVID19 virus, Ontario announced today that attendance at religious services is limited to 10 people effective Monday, and the Diocese of Hamilton has determined that all Churches will be closed effective that day. It is possible (but “strongly discouraged” ) to celebrate Funeral masses with a total of 10 people. Rite of Christian Burial at the cemetery is the preferred service during this time. Of course, mass may be offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased at any time.
