Vacation Bible School 2023 Wrap-Up

This year was another amazing camp experience. We were thrilled to welcome nearly 60 campers, and I was honoured to work with an incredible team of 26 elementary and high school students along with eight adults. This camp experience continues to help others learn about God’s love and grow in fellowship, faith, and community. A huge thank you to everyone who came together to make this happen. Diocesan Young Adults Night

Young Adults Night:November 4th Fr. Mark Morley invites all young adults (ages 20s and early 30s) of our diocese to attend a night of Adoration, Fellowship and Praise Music. Arrival and Holy Hour (6:30pm-7:30 pm), Social with Food (7:30pm-8:30pm), Praise Night and Vocation Testimony (8:00pm-9:00pm), and Compline (9:00pm) on Saturday, November 4th at Saint Pius X Church (9 Waverly Street, Brantford, Ontario). Altar Server Training

We will be holding an Altar Server training session on Saturday, January 28th, from 10:00am – 12:30pm for those 8 or older who have celebrated their First Communion. A pizza lunch will be included.Please email or call the office at 519-753-8439 to sign up.

A Beautiful Confirmation Celebration

Friday, December 9th was a lovely celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. We were thrilled to have a full church (600+ people!) gathered in community, and 64 young people present for the Sacrament. Below are a few photos from the night, and the live-streamed Liturgy is available below.

Fr Steve’s Installation

On Saturday, November 26th, we were honoured to have Bishop Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton, join us to celebrate Fr Steve Murrin’s formal installation as the Pastor of St Pius X Parish. It was a beautiful Mass, and a moving installation ceremony. Many thanks to the Catholic Women’s League who organized a lovely reception in the hall – complete with low GI snacks for those who needed them!

Spiritual Bouquet for Bishop Crosby

January 2nd, 2023 is Bishop Crosby’s 25th Anniversary of Ordination as a Bishop. There will be a Mass offered on Tuesday, January 3rd for the intentions of Bishop Crosby, and all are invited to gather in thanksgiving for his ministry in the Church as Bishop. Vacation Bible School 2022 Recap

We had an amazing week of camp, and were truly blessed with how everything went. After a two-year hiatus, we were able to return with 40 campers and a leadership team of approximately 25.
